Thailand had a score of 34 in the non-OECD members, the same score as Turkey, which ranked second worst among OECD member countries. Eradicating corruption is one of the bottlenecks for countries like Thailand that aim to become new members of the OECD.

OECD members, Mexico and Turkey have long been required to make improvements as their CPI ranks at the bottom among OECD member countries, but no significant measures to prevent corruption appear to have been implemented.

Corruption Perceptions Index is expressed as a number from 0 to 100, with 100 points indicating the least corruption.
