The objective of the risk assessment seminar yesterday, held by DIW / Mahidol University was to share basics on risk assessment methodologies with industrial sectors in Thailand. Unfortunately, we could not identify any kinds of implementation schedule / time line for incorporation of risk assessment system into the existing Hazardous Substance Act, Thailand.

One day risk assessment seminar on industrial chemicals is now in session at THE BERKELEY HOTEL in Bangkok. The seminar started at 9:00 and will be continued until at 16:00. Some experts in Mahidol / Thammasat University and DIW officers will explain the system / procedures on chemical risk assessment, associated with industrial chemicals, which are controlled by DIW.
