In an era where people are more health-conscious, “fruits” have become a safe and healthy choice.

But did you know that many fruits are sources of pesticides without you knowing it?

For example, grapes, oranges, apples, or guavas often use high amounts of pesticides and fungicides to make the produce look good and last longer.

Even if you wash them with plain water, if you don’t wash them properly, there may still be residues left, which can affect your health in the long term, such as allergies, hormonal fluctuations, or certain chronic diseases.

The Thai government, through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has set the Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for various fruits. If residues are found to exceed this level, they will be considered unsafe and illegal. Is the limit in Thai more strict than the limit in the country where you live?

The Department of Medical Sciences recommends the following methods for washing fruits for safety:

• Fruits with thick skins (e.g. oranges, pears): soak them in water first, then wash them with running water, rubbing the skins with your hands at the same time.

• Fruits with thin skins (e.g. grapes): wash them with running water first. Then soak the whole bunch in clean water without picking it into individual pieces, as this can cause chemicals dissolved in the water to seep into the wounds on the stem or the peel.

• Peeling: Peeling the skin before eating will reduce the amount of residue, as most residues are stuck to the peel of the fruit.

World Industrial Estate (Lamphun) 2, Muang District, Lamphun Province, is the 72nd industrial estate of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, with an investment value of over 1,816 million baht. When it opens for operation, it is expected to generate investment value in the country of approximately 17,584 million baht and create approximately 4,396 additional jobs.

There are target industries including electronics industry, agricultural industry and agricultural products, light industry, public utilities and basic services.

In the area of Makhuea Chae Subdistrict and Ban Klang Subdistrict, Mueang Lamphun District, Lamphun Province, an area of approximately 621 rai (99.4 ha).

誘致対象産業には、電子工業、農業・農産物、軽工業、公益事業、基本サービスなどがあります。
