When anyone comes to visit Chiang Mai, one thing that should not be missed is tasting Northern food. Northern food has a unique flavor, it is not strange that some people who come here for the first time may not like some dishes.

But one menu that is very popular is Khao Soi, which I think is a menu that everyone can eat and like this dish　（noodle） has an aroma soup, a rich and, and is not too spicy and choices including pork, chicken, and beef.

This menu is therefore popular foreigners and Khao Soi of Thailand is ranked at number one! The ranking is the result of a worldwide vote of 2022 by the website TasteAtlas[1].

เมนูนี้จึงเป็นที่นิยมของชาวต่างชาติ และข้าวซอยได้รับการโหวตจากนักชิมทั่วโลก ให้ครองอันดับ 1 ซุปที่ดีที่สุด ประจำปี 2022 โดยเว็บไซต์ TasteAtlas[1].

カオソーイ：北部料理はタイ人と外国人観光客のお気に入り

 チェンマイを訪れるときには、北部タイ料理を味わうことが欠かせません。北部タイ料理は独特の風味を持っており、初めて訪れる人には一部の料理が合わないかもしれません。

しかし、非常に人気のあるメニューがカオソーイ（麺）です。カオソーイのスープは芳香があり、濃厚で、辛すぎず、豚肉、鶏肉、牛肉などの選択肢があります。このメニューは外国人にも人気があり、タイのカオソーイはTasteAtlas [1]の2022年の世界的な投票で第1位にランクインしました。

Morning - Noon: Work but don't forget to move!

After getting myself ready, I went into work mode, opened my laptop, checked my email and got down to work. But when I sat for a long time, I realized that my shoulders were hunched, my neck was stiff, and my waist was tight! 

So I made a rule for myself that every hour I had to get up and stretch my legs or go pour some water, and not let my body stay at my desk for too long. 

(It would be great to have an app that reminds me to move.)

เช้า – เที่ยง: ทำงานแต่ไม่ลืมขยับตัว

หลังจากเซ็ตตัวเองให้พร้อม ก็เข้าสู่โหมดทำงาน เปิดโน๊ตบุ๊ก เช็คอีเมล แล้วลุยงาน แต่พอนั่งนาน ๆ รู้ตัวอีกทีไหล่ห่อ คอเคล็ด เอวตึงไปหมด!

เราเลยตั้งกฎกับตัวเองว่า ทุก ๆ ชั่วโมงจะต้องลุกขึ้นมายืดเส้น ยืดสาย หรือเดินไปรินน้ำบ้าง ไม่ปล่อยให้ร่างกายติดอยู่ที่โต๊ะนานเกินไป

「自分を整えて準備ができたら、仕事モードに入ります。ノートパソコンを開いてメールをチェックし、仕事に取り掛かります。でも、長時間座っていると、気がつけば肩が丸まり、首が凝り、腰が張ってしまいます！

そこで、自分にルールを設けました。毎時間、必ず立ち上がってストレッチをしたり、水を注ぎに行ったりして、体を机に長時間縛り付けないようにすることです。

The number of Japanese holding work permits in Thailand is falling dramatically. As of September 2024, there were 23,603, compared to a peak of 36,666 in 2015. In the area of Bangkok where the author lives, there are communities of Myanmar people and Muslims. Lately I have been hearing more languages, which seem to be Hindi and Chinese.

タイで労働許可証を保有する日本人が激減している。2024年9月時点で23,603人。ピークは2015年の36,666人であった。筆者の住むバンコク都内の地域にはミャンマー人やムスリムのコミュニティーもある。最近はヒンディー語や中国語らしき言語を聞くことが多くなってきた。

Every morning and evening of a working day in Chiang Mai, one thing that is inevitable is the problem of traffic jams. Everyone needs to be prepared and allow extra time. I myself have to allow at least 30-45 minutes to pick up and drop off my daughter to school each time,

even for just 7.5  kilometers.

Due to the increasing number of private vehicles, both cars and motorcycles every year, which is on the other hand to the small and narrow proportion of roads in the city area, drivers feel slow and uncomfortable while traveling.

การจราจรติดขัดที่หลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้ในตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่

ในทุกๆเช้า และเย็นของวันทำงานในเมืองเชียงใหม่ สิ่งหนึ่งที่หลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้คือปัญหากับรถติด

ทุกคนต้องทำใจและเผื่อเวลาในการเดินทาง ตัวฉันเองก็ต้องเผื่อเวลาอย่างน้อย 30-45 นาที ในการเดินทางไป-รับส่งลูกที่โรงเรียนในแต่ละครั้ง แม้แค่ระยะทาง 7.5 กิโลเมตร

เนื่องจากปริมาณการใช้รถส่วนบุคคล ทั้งรถยนต์และมอเตอร์ไซค์ที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องทุกปี ซึ่ง ‘สวนทาง’

กับสัดส่วนของถนนในพื้นที่เมืองอันน้อยนิด และแคบมาก ทำให้ความรู้สึกของผู้ขับขี่ถึงความช้าและความอึดอัดในการเดินทาง

チェンマイの平日の朝と夕方、避けられない問題の一つが交通渋滞です。誰もが準備をして、余分な時間を確保する必要があります。私自身も、娘を学校に送り迎えするために、たとえ距離がわずか7.5キロメートルであっても、毎回少なくとも30～45分の時間を見積もらなければなりません。毎年増加する自家用車やバイクの数に対して、市街地の道路は狭く小さいため、運転者は移動中に遅さや不便さを感じています。
