The "Sakura of Thailand" or Prunus cerasoides, at the Royal Agricultural Research Center Chiang Mai (Khun Wang) in Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai Province, is one of the most beautiful places to see them. It boasts many Sakura of Thailand. Every year, between mid-January and early February, the mountains of Chiang Mai turn a vibrant shade of pink and when they bloom profusely, creating a pink tunnel.

This place can also be used as a campsite for tourists.
